"Macbeth" - Verdi's opera in the Centennial Hall

Two singers were engaged for Macbeth’s part - Vladimir Chmelo has already marked his presence in New York’s Metropolitan Opera, and Lucio Gallo appears regularly in London’s Royal Opera House. Apart from them, the role of the cruel ruler is played also by Jerzy Mechliński and Bogusław Szynalski. Magdalena Barylak, Eliza Kruszczyńska i Maria Pia Piscitelli will perform as Lady Macbeth.

4th Olympic Picnic of Wroclaw and Lower Silesia

The programme offers a show of judo and kendo fights, artistic gymnastics and acrobatic gymnastics, weight lifting, archery, duels of fencing and boxing champions and a volleyball show. Other attractions include orienteering and a recreation garden for whole families and extremely popular pony rides and inflatable castles for children (free of charge).
Races
Emotions will begin with races of Thoroughbred horses at 2:15 p.m. In other races, Arabian horses and trotters will compete.

Father’s Day on the Słodowa Island

The programme includes music, dance and theatrical stage performances and martial art shows. The organisers announce, among others, a performance for children in the Bajkobus, a martial art show, zumba, and a performance of the Kwagga band around 5.30 p.m.

Multimedia fountain show for children

The biggest fountain in Poland and one of the biggest fountains in Europe. It occupies an area of almost 1 ha, and there are as many as 800 light points and 300 water nozzles on its bottom.

Opera gala in the Anima Club
6:00 p.m., Anima Club, ul. Pilczycka 47, tickets: 40 PLN in advance sale and 50 PLN on the day of the concert.
The International Opera Group Sonotrio will perform. The ensemble consists of three sopranos, one mezzo-soprano, a tenor and a baritone. The programme includes, among others, an aria from Stanisław Moniuszko’ opera "The Haunted Manor", duets from "Traviata" by Giuseppe Verdi and jazz standards.

Mozart – Mass in C Minor KV 427, Symphony in G Minor KV 183The two works that Mozart composed in his youth will be performed by excellent soloists-singers, the Choir of the NFM and the Wroclaw Baroque Orchestra conducted by Andrzej Kosendiak. The beautiful interior of the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist in Ostrów Tumski with superior artistic qualities will be filled with sacred music.
