The cooperation between Wroclaw University of Environmental And Life Sciences (Uniwersytet Przyrodniczy) and a branch of Nokia Solutions and Networks in Wroclaw will have several dimensions. The plan is realise innovative projects, the exchange of experience and apprenticeship for the students.
For example, bioinformatics students will have the opportunity to do their graduation work and professional practice in Nokia. It's a chance to have access to high-tech research labs and to learn the rules of working in a global concern. The university authorities assume that the cooperation does not have to end with the apprenticeship, they would like the graduates of Wroclaw University of Environmental And Life Sciences (Uniwersytet Przyrodniczy) to have an opportunity to work for Nokia, thanks to the experience gained during the studies.
Bartosz Ciepluch, the director of the Nokia Solutions and Networks European Software and Engineering Centre (Europejskie Centrum Oprogramowania i Inżynierii Nokia Solutions and Networks) in Wroclaw said: "New technologies will develop in the fields of biological sciences, biomedicine and bioinformatics."
Wroclaw University of Environmental And Life Sciences is another university which established cooperation with Nokia, apart from Wroclaw University of Technology (Politechnika Wrocławska) and five other academic institutions from Poland.
